Willoughby Montessori Dayschool was established on September 1, 1978. We first started as a preschool/kindergarten and quickly went on to become a dayschool, to include toddler and infant age children. Then later, we added a summer school age program.
As a school, we are committed to our parents, our children and ourselves as educators. We follow the American Montessori Society Code of Ethics, and we commit "ourselves professionally and personally in ways that will reflect our respect for each other and for the children we serve. We will do whatever is within our talents and capacity to protect the rights of each child to have the freedom and opportunity to develop his full potential."
Willoughby Montessori Dayschool
At Willoughby Montessori Dayschool we apply Maria Montessori's theory of education to the preschool and dayschool setting. We are located in Willoughby, Ohio, on several acres of land, which makes it conducive to enclosed, safe outdoor play and exploration. During inclement weather, your children enjoy indoor playrooms for large motor activity that we have to accommodate these circumstances.
Willoughby Montessori Dayschool is a school founded on the montessori principles of education in a creative learning environment
